Prospective Civil Engineer
I would’ve started this Online Forum during the Covid pandemic period when I hadn’t thought much of it. I told myself, “It’s just another online class I must attend. “I can say that was quite the contrary as the teachers always made the lessons fun, and making new friends within those classes was also one of the good things about being a part of the program. To this day, I haven’t even physically met half of these people, but we’re all still good friends. Most importantly, though, being a part of the program aided in studying for CSEC exams and helped me achieve good grades in all my subjects. Thank you, Nasa!

Assistant Mechanical Foreman
My name is Dwayne John. I’m an Assistant Mechanical Foreman working at the Demerara Harbor Bridge-Asphalt Plant. I always believed in furthering my education, so in 2022, I pursued a mechanical engineering diploma at the Government Technical Institute. I started the course and found I struggled with engineering science because I didn’t do any physics classes throughout my school year. A colleague sent me a link to the NASA School of Academics, which provided various courses, so I looked for the one I wanted: physics. I registered and explained that I hadn’t done anything concerning physics before. Hence, they placed me in the great 10 class. It was a bit hard at first because I had work, school and family life, but the good part was that it was at 7 pm, which I was very grateful for since I did not have to leave my job and study. Over time, the classes became easy, and the teachers helped me understand and started to see my way. They interact with you during class sessions to ensure you know, and in no time, I wasn't struggling with my engineering course anymore. Today, I can proudly say I have learned the basics that will help me take the next professional stage of my life without giving up on my day job. Thank you, Nasa. Much appreciated.

Architectural Engineering
As a former student at NASA School of Academics, I can say that it was a really helpful and fun journey. Because of the teaching methods used, it not only makes learning more enjoyable but it also helps you to focus more and be interested and willing to learn more about the subject. I personally struggled alot in physics because we weren't being taught so often throughout the years in school. I was so afraid that I would fail when writing the Caribbean Secondary Examinations, but I was still able to pass and exceed thanks to NASA. I was able to quickly grasp and comprehend questions and I was more confident when writing the exam. On the side note from Academics, NASA has taught us that you shouldn't easily give up and you can achieve what you want once you work hard and put your mind to it. I can proudly say that there was no regret in joining NASA School of Academics and I can now be able to pursue my aspiring career in future.
